With the combined resources of our great community, The Islands Family YMCA, The Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, and the volunteers at the Islands Marsh and River Lions Club, we have created a monthly open food pantry for those in need. Anyone can pick up food that is available every 3rd Thursday of the month. The pantry will be available from 9am - 10am and from 5pm - 6pm on the specified Thursday for pick up.
On Saturday, Sept. 23rd the Islands Marsh & River Lions Club will be hosting free vision screenings at the Islands Farmers' & Community Market from 9 am -12 pm. Please come see our tent if you would like to register, and the screening will take place indoors at the church. Thank you!

Maybe you're not sure what to donate. What constitutes as non-perishable?
Let's uncover these answers and more on Sept. 27th. The Islands YMCA will be holding an informational session to help educate our members of Supporting Wellness at Pantries (SWAP), as well as nutrition and healthy donation options. All are invited on Sept. 27pm from 12 pm -1 pm, where refreshments will be provided. They will also be having a food drive on the same day. Please bring canned goods and non-perishable items to the event. Thank you, hope to see you there!
